How much protein do I need?


  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop whey protein*
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 natural hot dogs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds, optional

    *We encourage you to try other proteins from milk in this recipe as well, simply substitute in place of the called-for protein. Please keep in mind that the nutritional analysis is based on the protein listed in the ingredient list.


Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Microwave mozzarella cheese and cream cheese until melted, approximately 1 minute 30 seconds.

Step 3

Add melted cheese mixture into food processor and pulse until smooth.

Step 4

Next add the egg, almond flour, whey protein, and baking soda to the food processor. Process until a sticky dough forms.

Step 5

Divide dough into 6 portions and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 7

Roll each portion into a long rope and wrap around hotdogs.

Step 8

Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired

Step 9

Bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
