How much protein do I need?


  • 1 tablespoon whey protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon powdered peanut butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free jam or jelly
  • 2 slices whole grain white bread (or bread of choice)

    *We encourage you to try other proteins from milk in this recipe as well, simply substitute in place of the called-for protein. Please keep in mind that the nutritional analysis is based on the protein listed in the ingredient list.


Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together the protein powder and powdered peanut butter. Begin adding the water slowly until desired consistency is reached

Step 2

Add honey or sweetener of choice to the mixture. Sweeten to taste.

Step 3

Place the peanut butter mixture and jelly filling in the middle of one piece of bread. Make sure to leave room on the outer edges.

Step 4

Place the second piece of bread on top, and use a sandwich sealer or the rim of a large glass to seal the sandwich.

Step 5

Remove the outer crust while the sandwich is still in the press or glass.

Step 6

Freeze the sandwich until ready to eat. Use within one month.
